This is an updated Player Damage build I have been using for hard mode tower bosses. The updated build involves using energy weapons to deal massive weak point damage to enemies.
PALS
Vanwyrm (regular & cryst): 90% player damage bonus to weak points. Aerial Marauder should not stack, but somehow it does after testing.
Cryolinx Terra: 60% power bonus after hitting enemies' weak points continuously. Works best with automatic assault rifles.
Solenne: 80% player ATK bonus with a team of unique pals. Way better than stacking 4 Gobfins.
Xenogard: 35% energy weapon damage bonus, which is the focus of this build.
ENERGY WEAPONS (13 weapons)
The following are energy weapons and gain the 35% damage bonus from Xenogard;
Beam Launcher, Beam Scatter, Beam Sword, Charge Rifle, Energy Shotgun, Laser Gatling Gun (uncommon or better), Laser Rifle, Laser Sword, Overheat Rifle, Plasma Cannon, Plasma Multicutter, Plasma Rifle and Vortex Beater.
PASSIVES
All pals have Vanguard, Stronghold Strategist, Reload Master & Idiosyncratic for player HP regen (+250%), ATK (+50%), DEF (+50) & reload speed (+20%).
WEAPONS
The main 2 weapons for this build are the Plasma Rifle for energy weak point damage & the Drone Launcher for autonomous damage. The rest can be any of your choice.
ACCESSORIES
HP & DEF are prioritised for this updated build for longevity & HP recovery.
HARD MODE TOWER DIFFICULTY
Victor & Shadowbeak (#5) and Auri & Shaolong (#8) will be challenging to fight, as the former has high HP and strong attacks, while the latter has multiple AOE attacks that hit really hard. Knowing when to attack and dodge is key.
Zenara & Astralym (#9) is near impossible without proper base support, and their attacks can kill you if you play too aggressively.
The rest are easy as they usually move slow and have predictable attacks that are easy to dodge.
